NEW 9004L or 9007L HID Kit Does not work.
The 9004 and 9007 connector wires vary from vehicle to vehicle. Each 9004 and 9007 connector has three wires going to the connector from the vehicle.
Typically on the 9004 the middle wire is the high beam and on the 9007 the middle is the ground. But for some American made cars and Japanese made cars, the wiring is different depending on your vehicle. Since the wiring may be different on your car, it is up to the individual that is installing the kit to know which is hid Low beam, high beam and ground on his factory connector that connects to the HID Kit. It is very common that if someone does not check this they will think that a perfectly brand new kit does not work. But in fact the kit will work perfectly if connected correctly. Use a test light or multimeter to test which wire on your factory connector is the LOW beam Positive by grounding the test light and touching the factory light connectors female slots while only the vehicles low beams are on. Repeat this for the high beam. No voltage will be going to the ground from the factory light connector. Now that you know which wires (or slots) need to be connected correctly you can remove the pins from the HID kit plug using a small jewelers screwdriver. After the pins have been removed now it is easy to slide them back to the correct place. |
